Bricks come in an compressed block. To use simply place the block in a large water tight container (like a rubbermaid bin) and add warm water to hydrate. Start with approx 4 gallons and add more to achieve desired saturation. Excess substrate can be stored DRY and rehydrated later however will be expanded.
